Inspiring Healthy Living: The RPS Shoe Program

To encourage our team to stay active, no matter where we are working, we have rolled out the RPS Shoe Program! We offer this program as a way to encourage our team to establish and maintain healthy habits because we know when we feel good it helps us perform our jobs at our best.

Participating in the RPS Shoe Program is easy. Team members have the opportunity to join the team for our twice a week Run Club sessions, participate in RPS Run Club races, and/or get moving on your own – run, walk, hop, skip, jump, skate, bike, etc. Each team member keeps track of how long they are moving using a timer on their phone, watch, or favorite fitness app and when they are done, that time is posted to our very own Run Club Captain, Valerie Kinney. At the end of each quarter, the person who logs the most time is the winner and will receive a pair of brand new running shoes! To keep it fair, a team member can only win once every 12 months.

We determine winners by the time they’ve logged rather than the distance as this gives us all an even starting point, but if team members want to keep track of their distance, they are encouraged to do that so they can watch their progress!

We launched this program in Q2 2021 and had full office participation, logging 127 hours of movement! The first team member to win shoes is Kimmie who logged nearly 36 hours of activity! She picked a fun pair of pink running shoes from our local Fleet Feet in downtown Lawrenceville.

Our second team member to win a pair of shoes is Candra, who posted exactly 45 hours of activity in Q3 2021! On her outing to Fleet Feet, Candra selected a pair of navy running shoes with an aqua accent print.
